SSC was established in 2007, and started out initially working solely within the care sector, helping provide access to training and employment for adults.

Directors Andy Jacques and Ian Shephard have many years' experience in the training and recruiting sectors respectively, the combination of which works perfectly when it comes to recognising the right candidates, and how to get the best from them, as well as finding and matching them to the right employers.

SSC offers employers the chance to advance their workforce, giving staff access to a whole host of training programmes, which will help them in many areas - from increasing their skill levels to improving performance, building confidence, helping them to manage other people and improve their chances of promotion.

The more Andy and Ian worked with companies, the more apparent it became that there was also a real need for greater access to employment opportunities for young people, and specific training for 16 to 19-year-olds, who weren’t necessarily finding what they needed at school or university.

So SSC's remit has evolved and grown, to cover a wide range of apprenticeship and training programmes, aimed at helping capable young people reach their full potential, in addition to providing businesses with the training opportunities they need to advance existing members of staff.
