Parents who are considering sending their
children to The Croft should contact the
Headteacher or office staff, who will be
pleased to explain the admission arrangements
and organise a visit to show them around
the school. Early registration is welcomed
as it helps the school in forward planning.
Parents of new entrants will be invited to attend
a meeting at the school during the summer term prior
to the academic year in which their child starts
school. At this meeting the early years learning
policies and methods are explained, and parents'
questions answered.
New entrants are invited to spend two sessions
(one morning and one afternoon) in the reception
class prior to admission as an introduction to
school life. There is an open door policy operating
within the school, which means we are happy to
see parents, before or after the school day, to
discuss any matters which might cause concern.
This is very important when the children first
start attending school. It does help if you make
an agreement to see staff, if possible.
